From Source to Bottle: The 7-Step Water Purification Process
The 7-Step Water Purification Process Behind Our Bottled Water
As concern over the quality of tap water continues to grow, many people are turning to bottled water as a safer and more convenient alternative. But not all bottled water is created equal. At Water Doctor of Washington, we take pride in our commitment to delivering the highest quality drinking water to our customers.
1. Pre-Filtration: When the water first arrives at our facility, it goes through a pre-filter to remove any large sediment and begin the water treatment process.
2. UV Light: The water is passed through a UV light to kill any bacteria and viruses that may be present. UV treatment is a highly effective method of disinfection that does not use any chemicals.
3. Water Softening: We run the water through one of our commercial Kinetico water softening dual-tank non-electric systems, which softens the water and removes extra minerals.
4. Reverse Osmosis: The water goes through our Kinetico commercial-grade reverse osmosis system, which removes impurities such as dissolved solids, minerals, and salts, as well as any remaining bacteria and viruses.
5. Second UV Light: Just before the water is bottled, we pass it through a UV light again to ensure any remaining bacteria and viruses are eliminated.
6. Carbon Filtration: This process puts a finishing touch on the taste and odor of the water, removing any remaining impurities.
7. Bottling: We use only the highest quality BPA-free plastic bottles. Our bottling process is done under strict hygienic conditions, and once filled, bottles are immediately capped, labeled, and ready to be delivered straight to our customers’ doors.
Thanks to this 7-step process, our customers have come to love the taste of our bottled water. At Water Doctor of Washington, we believe that everyone deserves access to clean, refreshing drinking water.
